Members of Ngāti Whātua o Ōrākei were in Parliament to witness the third reading of the Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Claims Settlement Bill and see it pass into legislation. This completes more than a decade’s long quest for recognition of past transgressions under the Treaty of Waitangi.
