Manaakitanga

Manaakitanga reflects the essence of care, generosity, and respect, forming the foundation of how we uplift our communities. Through targeted grants, inclusive social services, holistic hauora initiatives, and empowering education programmes, we strive to enhance the wellbeing of individuals and whānau.

HAUORA: TE HĀ ORANGA

Te Hā Oranga was founded in the early 1990s with support from the Northern Regional Health Authority. As an iwi-endorsed and owned health provider, it operates under the tikanga of Ngāti Whātua, embodying our kaupapa Māori approach to hauora.

The primary goal was, and continues to be, to establish a provider capable of fulfilling the hauora obligations of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua for our hapū and hāpori. Te Hā Oranga have locations in Tāmaki-makau-rau, Wellsford, Helensville, and Dargaville.

KĀHUI TŪ KAHA: HEALTH, HOUSING & SOCIAL SERVICES

On behalf of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua, Kāhui Tū Kaha extends manaakitanga to all people through a range of health, housing and social services. We provide social housing in Auckland, Whangārei, and Dargaville, welcoming referrals from these areas. We also offer mental health support, wellbeing groups (open to all), and residential or respite care (via clinical referral). Additionally, we support and advocate for takatāpui and refugees.
